01 Copy the Instagram Reel URL
Open Instagram on the Reel you want to save. Tap the three-dot (⋯) menu on the post, then choose 'Copy Link'. On desktop, click the three-dot menu and 'Copy link', or simply copy the URL from your browser's address bar.
-
02 Paste into rawlink and click GET
Open rawlink's Instagram downloader. Paste the Reel URL into the input field and press GET. rawlink will extract the video from Instagram's servers and prepare the download options in a few seconds.

03 Download the video
rawlink shows the available download option — typically the Reel in its original quality (1080p). Click the download button to save the MP4 file to your device.
// tip The file quality matches what Instagram stores for the video — typically 1080p for Reels, which is the resolution creators upload at.
Can I Download Instagram Reels Without an Account?
Yes. rawlink works on any publicly posted Instagram Reel without you needing an Instagram account. Since Instagram makes public content visible to anyone — including visitors who aren't logged in — rawlink can access and download these videos the same way. You only need an Instagram account to view content from private accounts or accounts you follow. If the Reel is from a private account, rawlink cannot access it as the content requires authentication.
What Quality Are the Downloaded Instagram Reels?
Instagram Reels download in the same quality Instagram stores them — typically 1080p Full HD at 30fps. Instagram does compress videos when you upload them (they have a 4GB file size limit and re-encode everything to H.264/AAC), so the quality you download is Instagram's compressed version, not necessarily the original from the creator's device. Most Reels look excellent at 1080p and are suitable for watching on any screen. rawlink does not re-compress or further reduce quality.
Can I Download Instagram Stories?
Instagram Stories are only accessible to logged-in users — they require account authentication to view. Because rawlink only accesses public, unauthenticated Instagram content, Stories are not currently supported. If you want to save your own Stories, Instagram's Archive feature (Settings → Archive) automatically saves all your Stories for 30 days. Stories you've saved as Highlights are accessible to your followers as long as the Highlight exists.
Does It Work for IGTV and Regular Instagram Video Posts?
Yes. rawlink supports all public Instagram video content: Reels (short-form vertical videos), regular video posts (feed videos), and IGTV (long-form videos up to 60 minutes). All three types use standard Instagram video URLs that rawlink can process. For IGTV videos, the download quality matches what Instagram has encoded — typically 720p or 1080p depending on the upload. Instagram carousels (mixed photo and video posts) are also partially supported; rawlink will extract any video content within the carousel post.
How to Save Instagram Reels to Camera Roll on iPhone
After downloading the Reel via rawlink in Safari, the file saves to your Downloads folder in the Files app. To move it to your Camera Roll: open the Files app, navigate to Downloads, tap the video file to preview it, then tap the Share icon (box with arrow) and choose 'Save Video'. The Reel will appear in your Camera Roll / Photos app. Alternatively, you can share it directly to other apps from the Files Share menu. On Chrome for iOS, files download automatically to the app's local storage and can be accessed via the Downloads menu.
Are Downloaded Instagram Reels Free of Watermarks or Logos?
Yes. Unlike TikTok, Instagram does not burn an in-video watermark or username overlay onto Reels stored on its CDN — the source MP4 file is clean. When you download a Reel through rawlink, you receive that clean source file, which means no Instagram logo, no creator handle, no URL stamp embedded in the video pixels. This is one reason creators commonly cross-post Reels to TikTok or YouTube Shorts directly from the source. Note that any visible text or logo the creator added inside the video at edit time (overlay text, sticker captions, brand stickers) is part of the video itself and stays in the download — that's content baked into the file by the creator, not a platform watermark.
What Quality Are Downloaded Instagram Videos and Reels in HD?
Instagram serves Reels and feed videos at 1080×1920 vertical (9:16) for Reels, and at variable aspect ratios up to 1080×1350 for square / portrait feed videos — both at H.264 / AAC encoding. rawlink delivers the exact source file Instagram has stored, so a 30-second Reel download is typically 4–10 MB in 1080p, and a 60-second Reel can be 8–20 MB depending on motion complexity. Older feed videos uploaded before Instagram's HD push may be 720p only — that is the source quality; no online tool can upscale Instagram's stored file to true HD. For best results when archiving your own content, upload Reels in the highest resolution your phone supports and rawlink will return that resolution back to you in the download.
How to Use a Downloaded Instagram Reel for Cross-Posting in 2026
The most common 2026 workflow: a creator records a Reel on Instagram, then wants to repost it to TikTok and YouTube Shorts to maximize reach. Native Instagram does not export Reels you've already published — the Save option only works during editing. rawlink fills the gap: open your published Reel, copy the URL, paste into rawlink, and download the 1080p MP4. The file is the clean source (no overlays, no Instagram watermark) so you can upload it directly to TikTok and YouTube without further editing. For TikTok specifically, this avoids the visible Instagram watermark that TikTok's algorithm reportedly down-ranks. If you only want the audio (popular for sound trends), use the audio extraction option to get just the soundtrack as MP3, then re-upload it as a TikTok original sound on a new vertical video.
Can I Download Multiple Instagram Reels at Once for HD Backup?
Yes — by opening multiple rawlink tabs in parallel. There is no daily limit, no captcha and no rate limit, so 10–20 concurrent downloads work fine on a normal home connection. The typical archive workflow: list all the Reel URLs you want to back up (use Instagram's profile page to walk through Reels in sequence and copy each link), then open one rawlink tab per URL. Each tab returns a 1080p HD MP4 within a few seconds and the downloaded files land in your browser's standard Downloads folder, named with the Instagram media ID for easy sorting later. Since the source files are the genuine Instagram CDN MP4s, the backup quality is identical to what is stored on Instagram's servers — no re-encoding, no compression loss, no watermark. For very large archives (full account exports), Instagram's official 'Download Your Information' feature is more efficient than tab-by-tab downloading.
